There are things and decisions in our lives that “hold” us up for who we are and there are things that we “hold” out that keep us from being who we are. We fear that if we are “discovered” that we will no longer be who we “are”. So who are we…who are you? What will your mirror say when you are looking at who you think you are?

Are there things that would free you but you save them for death beds ear? Or would you just as soon take the anchor with you wherever the ever after takes you…you know, gamble on the “thing” never being unmasked. But, still thinking about it every now and again when you run into the thought of that thing.

Leaving you nervously looking around wondering if someone knows. Let me give you an example: Boy meets girl and boy likes boy. But, boy doesn’t want girl to know that he ain’t into her. So he get’s into her…while thinking about him. He silences his Blackberry. Already rehearsing what it is that he is going to tell him when he leaves her. Kisses her goodnight and/or good morning. There it is again. That thing….as invisible as it is, it has so much “power”.
If you do a “little” coke who has to know? If I call her a “bitch” behind my walls, who has to know? If I’ve slept with his best friend or his not so best friend, who has to know? Well….the WORD says naked we came and naked we shall return. So….anchors away! Or not? You choose!

The phenomenon of Controlling relationships does not happen overnight, but when a woman finally realizes that it’s more than just “normal jealousy” that’s driving him to punch her whenever he went crazy with jealousy, it’s usually too late.

In their heads, they have found a man who loves them to distraction, and who is willing to devote a huge chunk of his time and money to keeping his lady love happy. While, it’s impossible to figure out what type of individual you are dating, there are tell-tale signs to watch out for.

He moderates your Social and Career Choices. The one with the personality trait of a controller will remorselessly thrust his spouse, girlfriend or lover into a series of controlling relationships, which aren’t obvious at the onset. He tries to moderate your time with your friends (which you justify as “needing attention”, then he tries to mess with your career choices and plans. Soon you will discover that he’s not at all concerned that you have no decent social life (you have him, why ask for more?).

Physically hurting you: Does it seem like his grip is a little tight when he asked where you went the other day, and demanded you surrender your cell phone for inspection? He could justify that he was just angry and he didn’t mean it, but you know better.
